A compelling debut collaboration between electronic composer / producer Ed:Ex - based in the heart of Bristol (the UK’s “most musical city”) and off-grid devotional singer and part-time dryad, Vaishnavi Brassey, hiding out in the Wild West (of Wales).

“He sounds like a proper Nasty” was Ed:Ex’s response when Vaishnavi first described how Shiva is usually smeared in the ash of corpses, with skulls around his neck. In the Hindu holy trinity, Brahma creates, Vishnu sustains and Shiva is The Destroyer. “I was terrified of him” Vaishnavi admits, “until I twigged that Shiva gets rid of what we no longer need - the lazy habits, the draining job, the meh relationship. He’s the ultimate Spring Clean. But sometimes we kick and scream because we’re really attached to what we actually most need to ditch...”

Vaishnavi’s voice has been described as “a flute that the Divine uses to carry heart-penetrating beauty.” Her mesmerising, otherwordly vocals seize you from the get-go and lead you on a multi-genre unfolding through breakbeat, techno, dubstep, garage and more.
